Louis Vuitton: a show between past and future

On Tuesday 21 January 2025, in the center of Paris at the legendary Cour du Carré du Louvre, Louis Vuitton once again opened the hostilities of Men's Fashion Week. It was a rather special collection, since the artistic director of Louis Vuitton homme called on his long-standing friend Nigo, who is also the artistic director of Kenzo.

A show that was both historic and futuristic

Once again, Louis Vuitton opened Paris Fashion Week perfectly. In a world of constant change, it's vital to find the right balance between modernity and the heritage of the past. Pharrell Williams and Nigo understood this very well, making this Louis Vuitton show a perfect example of these values. There was a streetwear wardrobe, from jewellery and bags to hats and sneakers, but also more classic silhouettes to match the historic image. The same was true of the set design, with a 30-strong brass and string orchestra opening the show with the exceptional composition One Winged Angel by Nobuo Uematsu. The show ended with another collaboration, called LV Bag, with Don Toliver and J-Hope from the K-pop group BTS. It was a show that clearly demonstrated Louis Vuitton's vision of the future, and the show was called Remember the Future.

While the fashion show attracted worldwide attention, guests from all over the world were also in attendance. Among them were figures from every generation, including Bradley Cooper, J-Hope from BTS and Takashi Murakami. A perspective that is even reflected in the guest list.
